Competitive Analysis and Product Marketing Support
The qualified candidates will assist the NYTimes.com Marketing team in conducting a competitive analysis of leading online web sites in the Business, Technology, Health and Autos verticals. These individuals will investigate and report on competitors’ internal and external marketing strategies and creative concepts. They will identify the various ad placements, ad positioning and ad technologies utilized by our competitors. Based on this analysis, the interns will recommend online and offline Marketing opportunities for NYTimes.com that will contribute to the growth of site readership and interactivity.
Qualifications
• Marketing or Business majors/MBA students preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to think strategically and develop creative solutions to research challenges
• Excellent organizational skills
• Detail oriented
• Familiarity with the Internet
• Previous relevant experience/internships a plus
• 3.0 GPA or above
• Team player with a strong work ethic
Requirements
The ideal candidates must possess excellent writing and oral communication skills, be detail oriented, self-motivated, reliable, and able to work with a wide range of individuals. Candidates must be both PC and Mac computer literate (Word, Excel, Photoshop, Social-Graphs). Students with a background in journalism, marketing or communications will be given preference. Graduate students strongly preferred.

business professionals who are currently pursuing advanced degrees to join
our team as interns for summer 2008. In this role, you will work closely
with the CMG management team to perform industry and market analysis,
evaluate strategic opportunities for growth and profit improvement, and
develop recommendations for the management team. Interns will work across
Dow Jones brands and media platforms, including print, online, video,

Advertising and Marketing Intern
Gale Group is a boutique advertising and public relations agency located in Manhattan & Beverly Hills which specializes in the public relations, advertising and branding of fashion, beauty, and lifestyle clientele. At Gale Group, students are able to learn the intricacies of what marketing is by experiencing “hands on” how contact is made to all aspects of media.
